John McAfee was arrested for the second time in a week.
He reveals it himself on Twitter, commenting:
“a record I think”.
A few days ago he was arrested for the first time in the Dominican Republic but was then released by the authorities.
Whereas today, he posted photographs that would portray him in a cell with a certain Robert King.
In another tweet, he reveals that he has been arrested again with his wife and the crew of his Freedom Boat, but that this story would be too complex to be told quickly.
He wrote:
-“in a nutshell, the Authorities deeply suspected that I was actually John McAfee.”
In another tweet with a decidedly playful tone, he published what he considers to be his signage photo in the hands of the authorities, comparing it with the one he had just taken in his cell.
However, there is one major question: how did he take these photographs and post them from prison?
He claims that his wife was imprisoned in the cell next to him and managed to “smuggle” the phone with her into the cell.
The McAfee campaign manager, Rob Benedicto Pacifico Juan Maria Loggia-Ramirez, tries to give an explanation, stating that the crypto influencer would not actually be under arrest but simply detained. However, it is unclear what is meant by this.
To tell the truth, so few details of this story are known that it seems decidedly shrouded in mystery. Neither the details nor the real reasons behind the two arrests, or the two detentions, are known, and the little information available comes largely from McAfee himself or from his entourage.
With regard to the first arrest there would be confirmation from Associated Press, which does not explain the reasons, simply stating that on his yacht were also found and seized many weapons of various calibres, and ammunition, and that would be the reason why he would be under interrogation.
