Samsung phone: the devices will support Bitcoin

Samsung phones will support bitcoin. The devices equipped with “Blockchain Key” will support also BTC and not just Ethereum as previously announced.

The Keystore SDK will be available on Galaxy S10e, S10, S10+, S10 5G, Note10 and Note10+ and only in some countries: Canada, Germany, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, US and UK. So, contrary to what has been stated in previous press releases, the Blockchain Key will be available also outside South Korea.

This application will be pre-installed on all the above devices and will be used to store the seed of the wallets in order for the user to immediately confirm the transaction when they want to use one of the 17 dApps supported by Samsung.

As can be read in the explanatory page, the supported blockchain platforms will be Bitcoin and Ethereum, but also Klaytn, which is the blockchain of Kakao.

Kakao is an important Asian company with more than 50 million active users per month, which launched its Klay cryptocurrency a while ago.
