The TRON Foundation has announced that it has decided to dedicate the 2020 niTROn Summit to Kobe Bryant.
For those who don’t know, Kobe Bryant is an American basketball legend who unfortunately died yesterday in California at only 41 years old due to a helicopter crash.
Bryant’s fame is worldwide, considering that in the last twenty years he has been one of the most successful basketball players ever, 5 times NBA champion and, according to the TRON Foundation, he was also a member of the “TRON Family”.
In fact, in November 2018 he announced his participation at the niTROn Blockchain Summit in 2019 and in his speech he talked about entrepreneurship alongside the founder of TRON, Justin Sun.
Kobe said that the biggest challenge after leaving basketball was to have the courage to move forward and do something else, starting over.
The basketball player, also known by the nickname “Black Mamba”, had become an investor once his sports career was over, to the extent that he became known for turning a $6 million investment into $200 million after Coca-Cola bought the company that produced a sports drink of which Kobe had become the main shareholder.
The reason why the TRON Foundation decided to dedicate this year’s niTROn Summit to Bryant is very clear.
In addition, Justin Sun himself tweeted a special tribute to Kobe Bryant by sharing a photo with him from about a year ago.
Kobe, was great to have met you in niTROn 2019. Mtg you was one of my life's greatest honor & privilege, I'll forever remember us on stage discussing the future of blockchain. We'll have a moment of silence in your honor during niTROn 2020. R.I.P. pic.twitter.com/oMqU9ZpkKh
