The reactions of crypto influencers to the Coronavirus

What have been the reactions of the crypto influencers to the Coronavirus emergency in recent days?

Obviously, one of those who have dealt with the subject is John McAfee, not least because he still appears to be a candidate for the American presidency.

A few days ago, in the midst of a market crash, he actually suggested that someone is benefiting from this crisis, almost as if he meant it was masterfully organized.

McAfee wrote on Twitter:

“Markets are crashing. Tourism is dying. Travel is reduced to almost nothing, and World Financial Systems are in chaos. Because of the Corona Virus scare. And you cannot think of a single reason why someone might benefit from creating this crisis?? Boggles my mind”.

On March 1st, he also published another tweet, sharing a sonata he composed and played for the Coronavirus and the 2020 elections.

A few days later he reiterated the concept by saying that in comparison to the common flu the new virus has produced very few deaths, and therefore considers this fear a crisis masterfully designed for someone

Meanwhile, Vitalik Buterin, for example, expressed his opinion only once, at the end of February, to say that the fall in prices that occurred during that week in his view had nothing to do with the Coronavirus.

Andreas Antonopoulos simply stated today:

“Act today or many people will die”.

Anthony Pompliano, on the other hand, has spoken out several times, particularly about the situation around him and the impact that the crisis could have on the financial situation.

In particular, Pomp has referred several times to the fact that this emergency could contribute to triggering or worsening a financial crisis, such as the debt bubble of large companies.

In a specific tweet he wrote:

“Kissing is frowned upon in the age of the coronavirus, but you might want to think about kissing goodbye to the longest economic expansion in U.S. history”.

CZ, the CEO of Binance, has tweeted about it several times, mentioning initiatives of the Binance Charity in this respect.

It should not be forgotten that CZ is Chinese and that Binance is a project born in China. Therefore he is certainly the most involved among all the mentioned influencers, even on an emotional level.

Even Elon Musk, who is not really an influencer in the crypto sector, spoke out a few days ago against the panic that is triggering this emergency, but he never spoke about it again.

Finally, Charles Hoskinson is perhaps, together with Pompliano, the one who has thought the most about it. He talked about a potential global depression, how it could affect the blockchain and crypto sector and how easy it is to see only the negative sides.
