Brave: a partnership with Binance

Brave has officially announced a new partnership with Binance to bring cryptocurrency trading directly into the browser

This has been achieved by creating a new widget, which will be integrated directly into the browser’s homepage. This will bring crypto trading at the users’ fingertips.

This is the world’s first-ever integration of this kind between a web browser and a crypto exchange and will allow over 5 million users who use Brave monthly to have immediate access to cryptocurrency and token trading.

It should not be forgotten that Brave uses BAT (Basic Attention Token), which in this way can be easily transferred to Binance and exchanged with other tokens or cryptocurrencies.

Thanks to the new widget, users will be able to access both Binance.com and Binance.us, buy and sell crypto assets, view their balances and get public addresses to deposit funds on the exchange without leaving the browser. It will also allow purchases, deposits, trading and viewing statistics

It will be an integrated widget, i.e. not remotely loaded into an iframe, allowing you to maintain the high level of privacy guaranteed by Brave. APIs are used to access Binance only if the user authenticates via OAuth and interacts with the widget.

The widget has already been made available for the desktop version of Brave’s Nightly and will be released for all other desktop versions in April. It will be enabled by default with the ability to be deactivated by users whenever desired.

At the moment it is not yet known when it will also be made available for mobile versions.

CEO and co-founder of Brave, Brendan Eich, said:

“Cryptocurrency trading can be a daunting task for users not familiar with such assets, so integrating Binance into the Brave browser makes the process seamless and simple. By bringing a leading exchange like Binance directly into the browser, Brave is taking cryptocurrency trading mainstream and enabling users to conduct transactions with ease”.

The CEO of Binance, Changpeng Zhao, added:

“The Binance widget on Brave’s privacy-oriented browser instils a safer way to buy and sell crypto and also reduces user friction to onboard, trade and interact with the Binance ecosystem. We are looking forward to our long-term partnership with Brave to make it even easier to interact with crypto and encourage more utility in the near future”.
