The famous crypto influencer Tone Vays announced on Twitter that YouTube has deleted his channel.
In fact, at this moment the web page of the YouTube channel of Tone Vays is non-existent.
It’s not the first time this happens in the crypto world and in similar cases from the recent past it has always been an error of the platform’s algorithms, then solved by restoring the channel and YouTube apologizing.
However, until recently, when a YouTube control algorithm detected alleged irregularities on a channel that dealt with cryptocurrency topics, it was limited to blocking for some time the publication of new videos, whereas a few days ago it proceeded directly with the deletion of the channel.
However, this new procedure appears to apply only to channels broadcasting live sessions dealing with cryptocurrency topics.
This would be confirmed by Tone Vays himself, who yesterday morning had already announced that one of his videos had been removed from YouTube because it was considered dangerous, with a reference to a video streamed in the past on his channel.
This kind of drastic action by YouTube is due to their automatic control systems, which are often wrong when it comes to crypto channels.
In particular, they are very sensitive to live broadcasts, because in the recent past many channels have been literally stolen by scammers who then broadcast live, often involving fake airdrops, to capture the attention of many potential victims with their scams.
This did not happen to the Tone Vays channel, but it’s possible that YouTube’s automatic algorithm assumed that something similar to the channel had happened, and as a precaution, immediately deleted it.
It is likely that everything will be resolved in the next few days with yet another admission of the error by YouTube, and the restoration of the channel.
