Even Discord has become fertile ground for crypto scams.

Discord is a platform that is often used by crypto and blockchain projects to interact with the community and create a strong ecosystem, helping them with problems, suggestions and so on.

Unfortunately, criminals arrived here as well and often take advantage of private messages to send the poor victims incredible offers and invite them to earn astronomical amounts of money with a minimum of effort.

In today’s case, the scammer sent a simple message inviting people to join a phantom exchange that gives as much as 0.95 BTC to help people in this time of crisis.

As such, the criminal invites to register on an exchange and enter all the personal information in order to withdraw this attractive sum.

This exchange was created only 2 days ago and is called rixbit. If we check the information on the website, the registration code of the company is 14637422.

By writing this number on Google there are hundreds of other scams identical to this one, so this is a similar situation we encountered some time ago.

When following the procedure described by the criminals, it really looks like we are receiving the 0.95 BTC, but this is where the trap is triggered, since as soon as we try to withdraw the funds an error occurs, informing us that we must first deposit 0.03 BTC.

At this point there is every element to understand that this is a well-conceived scam, as the BTC sent to the platform will certainly be lost and the money up for grabs will certainly not be given away.

Finally, please remember that if something is too good to be true then it is certainly false.

Moreover, the recent creation of the website doesn’t make the platform look good, as it doesn’t have social networks where other information can be checked. In short, everything indicates that it is a scam, so we reiterate to not believe any kind of message that promises free cryptocurrencies.
