The Sandbox, LAND tokens now on Coincheck

The Japanese platform Coincheck has partnered with The Sandbox to distribute NFTs.

The Sandbox franchise is the largest independent content creation platform, with over 40 million downloads and over 1 million active users per month, and the blockchain-based 3D version is expected to arrive later this year.

In this case, the platform allows the creation of objects that are real NFTs (Non Fungible Tokens) that can be traded and sold by other players, which take the name of LAND where users can create what they want and represent a distinctive feature of the Sandbox universe.

Also interesting is the possibility of renting or merging them to create larger areas and thus allow users to cooperate in order to have a strong community that is always ready to accept challenges.

The partnership between The Sandbox and Coincheck

Now it will be possible to buy and sell these ERC-721 tokens directly from the Coincheck app. This agreement opens the door to all users using the app and reduces the gap between the game and potential future users.

The partnership will be very important for the Japanese market, as the founder and COO of Sandbox, Sebastien Borget, said:

“Following the launch of our Game Makers Fund in Osaka in October 2019 at Devcon5, we’ve grown Japan into the fifth largest country for purchases of LANDS and other NFTs in The Sandbox metaverse. The partnership with Coincheck is a stepping stone towards broader recognition and adoption of NFTs by Japanese gamers and we’re thrilled to be among the first projects leveraging the Coincheck platform in this important market”.

Two million Coincheck users will learn about the new features of this game and can start participating right away by buying LAND, as confirmed by executive officer Kensuke Amo:

“We look forward to collaborating with The Sandbox”, said Kensuke Amo, executive officer of Coincheck. “Coincheck already has 3 million app downloads, 2 million users, and more than $100 million worth of ETH in our custody.  Japanese users who are not familiar with The Sandbox will know and visit The Sandbox in the process of purchasing LANDS on Coincheck platform. We would like to expand mass adoption through blockchain games and NFTs.”
