Brozovic is sponsoring Binance

Marcelo Brozovic, the famous footballer who currently plays for the Italian football club Inter, has published a post on Instagram in which he sponsors the exchange Binance, along with a referral code.

Earning €3.5 million a year just for playing for Inter, one can imagine that the referral is certainly not for extra income from those who sign up to Binance through his link, but rather an advertisement paid for by the exchange which, thanks to the customized link, is able to track his conversions.

Football and crypto

Binance is no stranger to extravagant advertising campaigns and in fact we can point to the 17 billboards at London bus stops announcing its landing in the UK in the summer of 2020.

In any case, it is not surprising that footballers are now accustomed to the world of cryptocurrencies, as Inter FC, for example, is on Sorare as part of its fantasy football based on the Ethereum blockchain.

Furthermore, many entertainers have recently entered the crypto world, such as Gene Simmons of Kiss, Sebastian Bach of Skid Row, actress Lindsay Lohan and many others.

Staying in the world of football, we can also mention the initiative of Socios, also listed on Binance, which allows fans to interact with their favourite teams and make certain decisions for them, such as the colours of new shirts, songs for goals, and more.

Brozovic on Binance: hacker or advertisement?

The publicity, however, was not taken in the best way by his fans, who all en masse in the comments were saying that the footballer had been hacked.

However, this does not seem to be the case, as there is no mention of a possible hacker attack on the player’s other social media accounts, so it is more likely to be a paid advertisement.
