OVR: over 200,000 NFTs sold, Eiffel Tower soon to be tokenized

2021 will surely go down in history as the year that Non Fungible Tokens (NFTs) changed the world of digital art and gaming. Metaverse is part of this wave and  OVR.ai project company has come to sell over 200,000 NFTs of its OVRLand in just 4 months since its launch.

At a time when everything has to go digital because of the Coronavirus pandemic, virtual worlds like OVRLand are attracting more and more interest from gamers as well as content creators and companies who want to advertise themselves in innovative ways.

OVR has divided the globe into 1.6 trillion hexagons called OVRLand, which are actually NFTs. Owners can create their own virtual worlds on these Lands, adding content as on web pages that can be viewed in augmented reality using the OVR app (available on both Android and iOS).

The Eiffel Tower is for sale

On April 30th, 2021, OVR will also put the Eiffel Tower up for sale, as one of the most iconic monuments of the new century, tokenized among the 1.6 trillion hexagons.

The sale will take place on OVR’s marketplace. Specifically, it is a package of 60 OVRLands.

The OVR virtual gallery

A new futuristic virtual art gallery for artists working in the world of NFT and digital art in general will open on April 26th on OVR.

Opening the exhibition will be a solo show by Giovanni Motta, an Italian artist who has been ranked among the top artists on SuperRare for his NFTs depicting Jonny Boy, the boy who lives in the soul of us all.

At the moment, Motta is running in Shanghai a solo exhibition of his physical works that sold out before the opening itself.

Also on display in OVR’s galleries will be the works of Marco Biscardi and Rok Bogataj, a contemporary artist who expresses himself in various art forms ranging from sculpture to photography.

During the opening on the 26th, all the artists will be present in the gallery in the form of avatars to answer questions from the public.
