Lloyds Classic Car Auctions, Australia’s largest auction and valuation company, has organized an event that will give people the chance to buy some of the famous cars made for the filming of the 2015 movie Mad Max: Fury Road, starring Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron.

The film, directed by George Miller, also became famous for some of the most spectacular motorized stunt sequences ever filmed. For these scenes, vintage vehicles were prepared and modified into almost steampunk-style war machines that are unparalleled in film history.
The vehicles, including cars of various sizes and trucks, will include a functioning engine and all the optional extras of the set design, but of course the weapons mounted for filming will be removed.

In all, there are 13 vehicles up for auction, ranging from the massive War Rig tanker truck, to a modified 1973 Ford Falcon XB coupe called Razor Cola and a hot rod version of a 1932 Chevrolet coupe.
The auction will take place online on 25 and 26 September from 10 AM to 7 PM (AEST) on Lloyds’ official website and will be completely blind, meaning that those interested in participating can submit their bids on the two days of the event but without knowing how much other potential buyers are willing to pay.
Moreover, it is important to point out that none of the lots indicate a minimum reserve price and, since they are secret bids, the auction becomes a kind of tender in which those interested offer a precise and unchangeable figure from which the seller is called upon to choose. A somewhat cruel method that certainly takes its inspiration from the logic of the Mad Max film series.
The offer includes a tax on goods and services. In addition, there are no registration fees for the bidder, while shipping is guaranteed worldwide.
Enthusiastic fans of the film, film buffs or interested investors can make payment in any national currency as well as in any virtual currency, from Australian dollars to yen, bitcoin, or other altcoins such as ether, to stablecoins.
The sale will take place during the “Grand CARmata” event where a collection of Holden ltd vehicles will also be auctioned off.

The company, in order to show that it keeps up with technology and innovation, has started to integrate blockchain systems into its operations and, in collaboration with Blockstars Technology, has created an exclusive collection of NFTs depicting the classic 1971 Ford Falcon GTHO Phase III in different colours.
The auction, which consists of a total of 50 NFTs, started on 10 September and will end at the end of the “Grand CARmata” event mentioned earlier. Each model is unreserved and comes with various levels of bonuses, with Lloyds Classic Car Auctions clearly allowing interested parties to bid in crypto as well.
