eToro lists Sandbox and Celo on its trading platform

Today eToro, one of the most well-known platforms for trading cryptocurrencies and more, announced the listing of Sandbox (SAND) and CELO.

Sandbox arrives on eToro

The addition of these two new cryptocurrencies on the platform is due to the growing interest in metaverse and NFTs.

“We’re seeing huge demand for DeFi and metaverse tokens, and we’re delighted to be able to offer more of these assets to our customers. The addition of these new tokens to the eToro platform demonstrates the breadth of choice available to investors in the crypto-asset market today, with some 42 tokens now available on our platform. We will continue to grow our crypto offering to enable users to diversify their portfolios with a broad range of crypto assets.”

That’s what explained Doron Rosenblum, Vice President of Business Solutions at eToro.

After the news of the listing on eToro, Sebastien Borget, COO and Co-Founder of The Sandbox, said:

“We’re delighted that eToro is listing SAND tokens on its platform. This is a great first step which enables its customers to discover more about NFTs and engage with one of the many possibilities of our open gaming metaverse.”

In total, with these two new cryptocurrencies, eToro now supports as many as 42 cryptocurrency assets.

In November, the platform had also listed Sushi, Chiliz, AXS, and Quant, proving that eToro is becoming increasingly interested in cryptocurrencies from NFT, DeFi, and even gaming projects.

The latest news on Sandbox

During February 2021, before Beeple’s million-dollar NFT sale, Sandbox had sold over $2.8 million worth of Land of its metaverse in one month.

And this hype just doesn’t seem to want to stop, with partnerships going on every day, not least the one with the famous Bored Apes, when Sandbox decided to buy one of them, specifically the 3749 for 740 Ethereum.
