The future of Polkadot
Gavin Wood, co-founder of Polkadot and Kusama, as well as Ethereum and the Web3 Foundation, published a long account of last year’s achievements in which he highlights how 2021 was the year of final delivery and the end of a chapter that began in 2016.

According to Wood, 2022 is the beginning of the next chapter in Polkadot’s story, with the prospect of large-scale hyper-connectivity under a single umbrella provided by Polkadot.
With more than 150 chains serving different purposes, many of which already have test-nets, there is much to look forward to, such as the Parity decentralized bridges, which will connect Polkadot to Kusama, and especially Snowfork, which will connect Polkadot to Ethereum.
