Summary
Unstoppable Domains and 1inch Wallet: the new partnership that simplifies transactions
Domain name provider, Unstoppable Domains, has just added a new client to its roster: 1inch Wallet. This is a new partnership that aims to simplify transactions by replacing complex wallet addresses with human-readable domain names.
As is well known, Unstoppable Domains acts by providing an NFT domain that can be more than just a wallet payment address, as it is minted on the blockchain, with no fees on mint and renewal, and belongs to its holder forever.
Basically, it is very much about obtaining a universal decentralized digital identity and serves as a unique username across all applications and platforms.
Here, thanks to this service integrated into 1inch Wallet, users will be able to enter an address name such as Andy.wallet or Money.crypto or any other creative but simple word combination they choose as a user domain. Such domains also increase transaction security through accurate address checking and prevention of submission errors.
Unstoppable Domains and 1inch Wallet to enhance DeFi products
1inch Wallet has joined Unstoppable Domains’ service to fulfill its mission, and that is to encourage mass adoption of DeFi products by enhancing the user experience.
In this regard, Sergej Kunz, co-founder of 1inch Network said:
“The issues of user experience, security and identity are still holding back Web3 mainstream adoption. The partnership with Unstoppable opens up opportunities for overcoming these barriers by making Web3 onboarding more fun and attractive, while users will also benefit from a user-friendlier way of transacting.”
Sandy Carter, SVP and Channel Chief of Unstoppable Domains also expressed his thoughts on the matter:
“The 1inch wallet is a DeFi lover’s dream, and Unstoppable is helping make it even easier for DeFi enthusiasts to manage their finances and own their identity on Web3. We’re thrilled to partner with 1inch to make transacting with, accessing and buying crypto simpler and more intuitive than ever.”
Web3 domain services
Echoing the Forbes article, it appears that the two most popular Web3 domain services today are Unstoppable Domains and Ethereum Name Service (or ENS).
Both offer the opportunity for users to purchase simplified domain names, though with some differences.
Indeed, ENS only uses the domain name “name.eth,” while Unstoppable Domains allows users to purchase domain names that can include top-level domain servers such as “name.crypto,” “name.wallet,” “name.nft,” “name.dao,” “name.bitcoin,” among others.
Since the launch of the platform in 2019, the Unstoppable Domains community has registered over 2.5 million total domains, transacted $80 million in primary sales, and the project supports over 275 tokens and 370 applications.
In contrast, until last month, ENS had over 2.2 million names, among 546,000 unique users, although it has climbed the ranks in terms of trading volume, managing to surpass Bored Ape Yacht Club’s famous NFT collection on the OpenSea marketplace.
The partnership with Brave
Recently, Unstoppable Domains also announced its partnership with the privacy browser Brave.
This will enable over 2 million decentralized domains to use the browser to create content or search for information on over 30 thousand websites.
Not only that, Brave with Unstoppable Domains integrated, also protects against the risk of DDoS-type attacks, providing security advantages.
