Summary
Revolut and “Collections”: the crypto bank’s new service
The Revolut financial app has announced the launch of its new “Collections” service dedicated to crypto investors.Â
It consists of 12 new cryptocurrency collections that collect over 100 tokens and allow users to buy an entire collection and distribute their investment evenly among all the tokens in the collection.Â
Collections is intended to be a new way to learn about, experiment with, and buy crypto assets, simplifying their discovery, understanding, and monitoring by triggering potential one-tap trades.Â
The 12 collections cluster the more than 100 tokens available in the app into groups based on the underlying technology and use case of the token. Examples of crypto collections include Metaverse, NFTs, Layer 1 and DeFi. A client can also keep track of the collection as a whole with an aggregated view.
Not only that, by clicking on the new “Learn” feature, based on the cryptocurrency education tool, users can learn about the technology behind each token and make more informed investment choices.
The Revolut crypto bank and the new investment product Collections
Revolut acts as a true global crypto bank, aiming to offer its more than 28 million customers worldwide high-end products involving cryptocurrencies.Â
Currently, Collections is available to Revolut’s UK and European Economic Area (EEA) customers.
In this regard, Narmin Ibadullayeva, Crypto Product Owner at Revolut, said:
“With Collections, users can discover new tokens based on the underlying technology and understand more about what the protocol behind the token does.
It also allows users to select the areas they are interested in and spread their investment over a number of tokens, instead of having to pick individual tokens. For example, you might think that a certain domain is going to play an important role in the future, but you don’t know how to act on this theory.
With Crypto Collections, you can easily see all tokens that are related to that area, as well as spread your investment across all the related tokens on Revolut.”
The feature is available for all Revolut plans. For Standard customers, a minimum investment amount of 1 euro per collection token applies.
Version 9.0 of the global financial app and joint accounts
Recently, Revolut released the new 9.0 version of the app for iOS and Android, which introduced shared bank accounts among many new features.Â
Basically, each customer of the financial app will be able to create an additional jointly owned account with another person, whether it is a partner, family member, friend, or even stranger.Â
Not only that, the 9.0 UX update also includes the “group” version of the Revolut Chat instant messaging tool.
