Summary
Bitget Wallet and the launch of the new BWB token along with the crypto airdrop
Bitget Wallet introduces its new token BWB, along with the crypto airdrop program in BWB Points. Here is the announcement from a week ago:
Basically, the total supply of BWB tokens is set at 1 billion, with a generous allocation of 5% dedicated to community airdrops.
These airdrops will be distributed in the form of BWB points, offering users the future opportunity to exchange points for actual BWB tokens.
With the aim of involving more and more users in its ecosystem, Bitget Wallet has decided to launch a campaign of airdrop lasting six weeks, from March 18 to April 28.
Specifically, the initiative is divided into two main parts: the “Initial Airdrop”, which rewards the most loyal users, and the “Task Airdrop”, intended for users who complete certain activities.
Bitget Wallet and the launch of BWB Token: the initiative of BWB Points
The BWB Points initiative therefore involves a division into two parts. For the “Initial Airdrop,” Bitget Wallet looked back and rewarded existing users based on their previous wallet usage, such as the number of assets they hold, their swap transactions, and their participation in various activities.
Not only that, in this part of the initiative, Bitget Wallet has given bonuses to users who have used the Swap function in other well-known Web3 wallets such as MetaMask, Trust Wallet, and Coinbase Wallet.
New users who download the Bitget Wallet App during the campaign will receive an airdrop of 50 BWB points.
With the “Task Airdrop,” all Bitget Wallet users have the opportunity to earn BWB points by completing specific tasks.
These include maintaining activities in the portfolio, executing exchange transactions, and inviting friends. Each task offers a different number of points, allowing users to collect points every day.
In this regard, the COO of Bitget Wallet, Alvin Kan, stated:
“We are eagerly awaiting the official release of BWB tokens in the second quarter of 2024, which will allow users to convert accumulated BWB points into tokens. It is important for us that BWB serves as a key to unlock exclusive benefits for its holders, offering them a voice in community governance, access to ecosystem airdrops, and a dividend in rewards driven by Bitget Wallet’s growth.”
Over 12 million users in the annual balance sheet 2023
