Bitget, one of the leading universal exchanges worldwide, has officially announced the start of the second year of its partnership with UNICEF’s Game Changers Coalition (GCC). This collaboration, launched in June 2025 through UNICEF Luxembourg, represents a key element in the mission to promote digital literacy and access to technology among young people in emerging economies. After a first year of significant results, the coalition is preparing for a new phase of growth, focusing on innovative training modules and geographic expansion.
Summary
A tangible impact already: over 642,000 beneficiaries
Since its launch, the Game Changers Coalition has already reached more than 642,000 young people, parents, and teachers in eight countries: Armenia, Brazil, Cambodia, India, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Morocco, and South Africa. The initiative, led by UNICEF’s Office of Innovation, focuses in particular on girls, who make up 52% of participants, with the goal of reducing the gender gap in access to digital skills.
Through an innovative educational program, the GCC offers community-based learning pathways and video game hackathons, both in person and online. These activities allow young people to acquire concrete skills that are essential for entering the digital economy and seizing new opportunities for employment and entrepreneurship.
Bitget and UNICEF: a synergy for educational innovation
During the first year of collaboration, Bitget supported UNICEF with a series of initiatives aimed at promoting awareness and participation in technology education. A key moment was the visit to Cambodia by Bitget’s CMO, Ignacio Aguirre, who met with students, teachers, and local partners involved in digital training programs. This experience highlighted how access to basic digital education can transform young people’s life prospects, especially in the most disadvantaged areas.
In addition, Bitget’s CEO, Gracy Chen, supported the first edition of UNICEF’s Global Game Jam, a 40-day event in which young creators from emerging economies developed original video games, supported by mentoring sessions and online courses. These initiatives have demonstrated young people’s ability to engage and innovate when they are given access to appropriate tools and opportunities.
New horizons: financial literacy, artificial intelligence, and blockchain
The new phase of the Game Changers Coalition includes the introduction of financial literacy and artificial intelligence modules into the educational program, with specific content on blockchain coming in 2026. This evolution responds to the growing global demand for digital skills, especially in emerging markets where the use of mobile devices is increasing but traditional educational offerings struggle to keep up.
Bitget is committed to supporting the expansion of the GCC into three more countries, further enriching the educational offering and ensuring an ever-broader impact. Field visits, the active participation of executives, and support for training initiatives will remain at the heart of Bitget’s strategy for the second year of the partnership.
The vision of the key players
According to Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget, “technology is becoming part of everyday life more quickly than educational systems can adapt. Our ultimate goal is not only to introduce blockchain or digital tools, but also to help strengthen confidence and develop long-term digital and financial skills that can create opportunities far beyond the world of cryptocurrencies.”
Thomas Davin, global director of UNICEF’s Office of Innovation, also emphasizes the importance of the coalition: “Too many young people are still excluded from the skills that drive the digital transformation shaping today’s economy. The GCC represents a clear response to this need, bringing together companies, institutions, and communities to provide young people with the skills, safety, and opportunities they need to take a leading role in a technology-based economy.”
Bitget: an ecosystem in the service of innovation
Founded in 2018, Bitget has established itself as the world’s largest Universal Exchange (UEX), with over 120 million users accessing crypto, tokenized assets, and AI-based trading tools on major blockchains. Its ecosystem also includes Bitget Wallet, a daily financial management app used by more than 80 million people.
Bitget promotes global crypto adoption through strategic partnerships with organizations such as LaLiga, MotoGP™ and UNICEF, consolidating its role as a leader in innovation and digital education.
UNICEF: a global mission for children’s rights
UNICEF operates in over 190 countries and territories to reach the most disadvantaged children and build a better world for every child. UNICEF Luxembourg supports this mission by mobilizing partnerships with the private sector and voluntary contributions, also working at the national level to protect children’s rights, reduce inequalities, promote gender equality, combat child poverty, and improve access to justice.
A look to the future: training and inclusion as priorities
The renewal of the partnership between Bitget and UNICEF comes at a crucial time, when the demand for digital skills is constantly growing and the opportunities offered by technology can make a difference for millions of young people. The Game Changers Coalition is confirmed as a virtuous model of public-private collaboration, capable of generating a real and lasting impact on new generations.
With the introduction of new training modules and expansion into new countries, the coalition is preparing to reach an even greater number of young people, offering them the tools they need to become key players in the global digital economy.
