Yesterday there was the announcement of the creation of the SLP Foundation, which will support the development of the SLP tokens based on the Bitcoin Cash (BCH) blockchain, using funds raised during this period.
The mission of the SLP Foundation will be to provide support, development resources and research for the scalability of the ecosystem created on Bitcoin Cash, allowing it to reach and expand in an incredible way.
Since their launch 2 years ago, SLP tokens have made great strides and their creation is very simple. Over 8,000 tokens have been created, making the Bitcoin Cash blockchain second only to the Ethereum blockchain, and several exchanges have already started to integrate them.
Moreover, these tokens can also boast a revolutionary hardware wallet, the Satochip, a sort of credit card which allows the management of both Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and the various SLP (Simple Ledger Protocol) tokens.
The members of the SLP Foundation
As far as the SLP Foundation is concerned, it is a non-profit organization and is supported by donations from its members.
Among the main board members, for the moment, there are Peter NG, Joey Wong and the former CEO of Bitcoin.com, Stefan Rust, who will work on the project until new board members are appointed.
The foundation has also set itself the goal for this year to create the SLP2020, a series of initiatives to improve the system in terms of speed, scalability, compatibility and promotion of this ecosystem in different fields such as NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) for games, STOs (Security Token Offering) and other financial products.
The Foundation’s announcement post concludes with a rosy and prosperous vision for both the SLPs and the Bitcoin Cash blockchain, which has enabled this type of implementation.
