KibiGO, a new project by the Italian startup Kinoa

KibiGO is a new project by the Italian startup Kinoa that uses blockchain to enable young people to develop creative ideas and certify the creative process by storing the data on the distributed ledger.

The project aims to offer young people the opportunity to develop new ideas thanks to a format that combines experimentation with new technologies, financial education through the use of virtual currencies and the creation of real prototypes to be launched on the market.

It is aimed at people aged between 15 and 25 with good intuition and creativity.

They are asked to deal with innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence and virtual reality.

They also receive a budget of 500 Fiorini for the purchase of training courses, materials, equipment and technologies to help with the creation of a prototype.

The timeframe is 4 weeks, they start from a brainstorming session that helps them identify the product and assess its market potential. Then they plan a financial and investment strategy which leads them to develop a marketing campaign to associate with each individual product.

The experience is divided into 4 levels that each team must achieve:

  1. WOW” MOMENT, finding an idea, working as a team and unleashing their talent
  2. BONE UP: investing in knowledge, materials and technologies using the initial budget (in Fiorini)
  3. SHAPE UP: giving shape to the idea as a real start-up, from market analysis to the first prototype
  4. PACKAGING: creating the communication campaign, present the product and make the idea known to the world.

At the end of level 4, participants will prepare a final presentation of their project and a prototype to win over the public.

Each development phase will be supported by the Kinoa team, and the virtual currency, the Fiorino, will be used by each team to customize their own training path that the blockchain will store in the form of a curriculum.

Microsoft and IBM joined the initiative and became the first KibiGO customers. This way they made their resources available to the project.

Some teams have already started their projects: a voice-controlled cocktail mixer, a smart frame that combines the art of Italian framers with artificial intelligence and an app to revolutionize the world of private studios.

To participate you can send a request via the website with a description of the project and an explanatory statement on why the application should be accepted.
