Pigzbe itself is a blockchain first piggy-bank for children age 6 and up, powered by Wollo, a family-friendly cryptocurrency.
The aim is to introduce a new generation to cryptocurrency and teach financial literacy at the same time.
Following their big win at the ICO Race in Lugano, Switzerland earlier this summer, the team have been on a high.
Along with $600,000 in funding, the win netted them a highly-prized exchange listing on Bitfinex, the world’s largest and most advanced cryptocurrency trading platform.
They’ve also smashed their $2.85m soft cap, raising over $6 million to date.
The startup is headed by Filippo Yacob, a 30-under-30 alumnus and founder of Primo, a company dedicated to teaching children 21-century skills through hands-on play.
The senior team comprises award-winning designers, thinkers, and makers who have delivered products and services to millions of people for brands like Apple, Google, NASA, Primo, and Kano.
Given Pigzbe’s global mission and personnel, it is no surprise that the startup has been covered and talked about across a range of news titles, from crypto stalwarts like Cryptonomist and CryptoDaily, to the FT, Quartz, Motherboard and even the Times Education Supplement.
Now, in the lead up to their token sale, Pigzbe is running a special Proof of Love campaign where everyone who enters can win Pigzbe swag, including tees, water bottles and their famous pink hoodies.
Signing up is simple:
