US, Bitcoin for sale in 100,000 ATMs

ATMs that allow purchasing bitcoin, for example with debit cards, are becoming increasingly popular, especially in the United States, where it is now a fairly widespread reality.

For this reason, LibertyX and Genmega have announced the launch of their ATM, which could allow them to use a debit card to purchase bitcoin at 100,000 new locations in the United States.

With this partnership, any Genmega ATM will be able to enable the LibertyX feature that allows selling bitcoin, thanks to a simple upgrade process.

LibertyX can be activated on ATMs without initial costs and without having to install new hardware.

Wes Dunn, Senior Vice President of Sales for Genmega, said, “ATM operators are always looking for ways to grow volume and transactions. We are excited to work with LibertyX on this new initiative that will drive additional foot-traffic to merchant locations and provide added revenue to our operators ‒ ensuring they stay ahead of the market and bring added value to consumers”.

Chris Yim, co-founder and CEO of LibertyX, added: “We has been working tirelessly to make it easier to buy cryptocurrencies for the last five years and now are bringing simplicity, convenience and trust to the cryptocurrency purchasing experience through the timeless ATM”.

In this way, all 100,000 Genmega ATMs in the country are now potentially “bitcoin vending machines”. To date, there are about 2,300 bitcoin ATMs in the USA, so thanks to this partnership their number could increase significantly.20
