Binance lists BTT, the token of BitTorrent.
The listing comes after the exchange contributed to the resounding sale of the BitTorrent token which raised $7 million in 18 minutes.
Starting at 10:00 UTC on Thursday, January 31st, 2019 it will be possible to trade BTTs with Bitcoin, Binance Coin and Tether dollar.
However, BTT deposits on the Binance wallet have already been opened for those who want to prepare for trading.
An information page about the BTT token on the Binance website has also been created where the real-time market, trades and news data can be viewed.
In addition, those who participated in the BTT token sale on the Binance launchpad can already verify their purchased tokens on the “Distribution history” page in the user centre.
To view the BTT balance on the website’s wallet, the exchange suggests users make sure they have not selected the “Hide small amounts” option on the funds page.
To ensure that users have as much information as possible, a report on BTT has also been published in the Binance website’s information section, with a lot of basic information to understand in detail what this token is and what it is for.
On this page, for example, it says that the BTT token will be used by BitTorrent to provide a distributed platform for third-party app developers that allows users to send even small amounts of value from their devices using the Tron blockchain.
Existing BitTorrent clients will also implement an optional set of extensions, compatible with previous versions, allowing users to create and receive bandwidth, working in tandem with a cryptocurrency wallet.
The BTT token will initially be used within these same BitTorrent clients as a means of payment for upstream bandwidth, but its use will later be extended to other additional features, including the purchase of content, the use of live streaming performers and crowdfunding for the creation of new content.
BTT will also be used on the BitTorrent network to extend access to services, including storage, computing and resource availability.
