Börse Stuttgart launches a new crypto trading app

Börse Stuttgart has launched its crypto trading app today.

After a year of development, the app – released by a subsidiary of Börse Stuttgart, Sowa Labs – is now available for free for both iOS and Android.

Currently, the app is only available in Germany, but according to the press release, it promises that the rest of Europe will be able to download the app by the end of 2019.

The goal of Börse Stuttgart is to bring more investors into the crypto world thanks to a user-friendly app with integrated news and social media.

Ulli Spankowski, CEO of Sowa Labs, explained:

Bison is the first cryptocurrency trading app from a provider in Germany. It enables free-of-charge trading in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Ripple (XRP). Users can trade on Bison from 6.00 to 24.00 hours (CET) Monday to Sunday at the prices they find displayed in the app. Bison makes its money from the spread between the buying and selling prices displayed”.

The app does not act as a wallet and is not decentralised: in fact, solarisBank will be responsible for acting as custodian of the deposits.

Spankowski also explained:

These will include the extension of trading to 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and additional trading functionalities. We will also enable trading in further cryptocurrencies, which will be selected considering criteria such as market capitalisation, customer interest and whether they can be kept in safe custody”.
