Litecoin is the official cryptocurrency of the Miami Dolphins

Litecoin has become the official Miami Dolphins cryptocurrency.

This was announced today by the Litecoin Foundation itself, which reveals that, starting with the NFL 2019 season, this collaboration with the Miami Dolphins American football team will allow Litecoin to approach one of the largest and most passionate NFL-based fans with branding activities and advertising opportunities within the Hard Rock Stadium.

The partnership between Miami Dolphins, Litecoin and Aliant Payments will offer the possibility to buy tickets for the team’s 50/50 raffle with Litecoin and Bitcoin, with half of the proceeds going to the Miami Dolphins Foundation and its charitable activities. 

Miami Dolphins Vice President and Chief Information Officer Kim Rometo said: 

“The Miami Dolphins are always looking for ways to enhance the fan experience, and this partnership with Litecoin provides the ability for guests to enjoy our 50/50 raffle while donating to a great cause”.

Charlie Lee, creator of Litecoin and managing director of the Litecoin Foundation, added: 

“We’re thrilled to see Litecoin become the official cryptocurrency of the Miami Dolphins. This collaboration propels Litecoin in front of an audience of millions of people around the world at a time where adoption of cryptocurrencies continues to gain momentum and the ecosystem is able to support real world use cases in ways previously not possible. We see this as a powerful way to raise awareness and educate people about Litecoin and cryptocurrencies on a tremendous scale”.

The Litecoin Foundation had already established similar partnerships in the past, such as the one with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), a leading martial arts event organisation, thanks to which the Litecoin logo was displayed on the octagon in which the fights took place on December 29th in Los Angeles.
