Trump tweets against crypto and Justin Sun invites him to lunch

This morning we reported on Donald Trump’s tweet against crypto. Among the many replies to that tweet, that of Justin Sun, CEO of TRON and BitTorrent, certainly stands out.

The President of the United States explained on Twitter that he believes cryptocurrencies and therefore also bitcoin are not currencies because their value is highly volatile and are based on thin air.

Because they are not regulated, Trump believes they can facilitate illegal behaviour, including drug trafficking and other illegal activities.

Justin Sun responds to Donald Trump

Justin Sun has responded to Trump’s tweets by inviting him to lunch with billionaire Warren Buffett on July 25th.

Justin Sun believes that Trump’s opinion is affected by fake news and that discussing it together could change his mind.

Sun, the protege of the billionaire investor and president of Alibaba, Jack Ma, has in fact already won a lunch meeting with Berkshire Hathaway’s CEO after placing a $4.6 million bid at Buffett’s annual charity auction for Glide, the San Francisco foundation that provides services and support for the homeless.

Besides Sun and Buffett, at the lunch to be held in the Bay Area, there will also be Charlie Lee, creator of Litecoin. Who knows if Trump will accept the invitation.
