How many times a day do you check cryptocurrency prices? For many, it’s almost an obsession. Thanks to smartphones that are now ubiquitous in all our pockets, it is easy to monitor the progress of investments. What are the top smartphone apps that allow following the performance of a crypto portfolio?
Summary
CoinMarketCap app
The Cryptocurrency data provider CoinMarketCap has a mobile app available for Android and also for iOS.
The app offers several useful features including portfolio monitoring, candlestick charts and side-by-side cryptocurrency comparisons, as well as helpful price warnings for all cryptocurrencies. The app also has a section dedicated to top gainers and losers as well as a section for news about the crypto sector, including those of The Cryptonomist.
Crypto Pro
Crypto Pro has 50k+ reviews globally on the App Store and it is available on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch. Of course, it doesn’t track any user activity as user data is encrypted and stored locally on each device with the option to securely sync and backup via iCloud.
It shows prices of all the traded cryptocurrencies on all major exchanges, all fiat currencies (USD, EUR, GBP…) and also metals (gold, silver, platinum, palladium, etc).
These are the major Crypto Pro characteristics:
- Track multiple portfolios
- Equity history chart for portfolios and for individual assets
- Stats like total gains/losses fees paid, daily/total percentage gains, asset distribution
- Manual trade entry, or balance import from exchange/wallet
- Portfolio CSV import / export
Blockfolio
Blockfolio is perhaps the most famous portfolio tracker in the world. The app allows adding all the favourite cryptocurrencies by associating them to an exchange or watching their value from the average weighted price on the various exchanges.
The app allows monitoring in real-time the trend of investments and also contains a section with the main news of the day collected from the most authoritative information websites. It is not necessary to register an account and there is no need to provide Blockfolio with any data.
Blockfolio allows simulating a portfolio by adding the numerical value of the tokens together with the purchase price. It is possible to set alerts for each coin, which will tell the user if the value has gone above or below a certain threshold. The app supports more than 8000 cryptocurrencies, more than 300 exchanges and has over 5 million users.
The app is available for both Android and iOS and can be downloaded from the Play Store or Apple store.
Delta
Delta is another app for tracking the value of cryptocurrencies. Like Blockfolio, it allows adding all the favourite cryptocurrencies to a virtual portfolio and managing several alerts to monitor their price through notifications, which are customisable. The app also allows managing multiple portfolios and it is possible to quickly set the amount of purchased cryptocurrencies to simulate a portfolio.
Delta shows the trend of the portfolio in the last 24 hours and at any time it is possible to see the price and graph of each cryptocurrency. More than 3000 cryptocurrencies are supported, ranging from the best known to the least known, and it is possible to interface with various wallets and exchanges.
Delta also allows for the addition of tokens that have not yet been listed on exchanges. It is possible to easily record every transaction made. A very interesting feature allows receiving an alert from an exchange when an order is executed.
The app is available from both the Play Store and Apple’s App Store.
Coin Stats
Coin Stats provides access to the value of over 3000 cryptocurrencies in real-time. Like with the apps mentioned above, it is possible to monitor the value of investments in real-time. The app allows customisation of the portfolio with the dates of purchase of each crypto in order to have a clear view of gains and/or losses.
The main features are the following:
- Customisable wallet;
- List of all the cryptocurrencies ordered by market cap with 24h value variation (it is also possible to set up a list of favourite cryptocurrencies);
- The synchronisation of the portfolio with the real value of the currency on the preferred exchange;
- There is a section with all the news for each coin;
- It is possible to set alerts on the price of coins from over 100 exchanges.
The app is available from both the Play Store and Apple’s App Store.
