Yesterday, Ethereum Classic Labs, the driving force behind ETC’s development, announced in a press release that it has partnered with iZbreaker, a social media company similar to Steemit.
From the statement, it is possible to read that iZbreaker will use the Ethereum Classic blockchain to develop a reward system for content creators and make transactions within the community more convenient.
The CEO and founder of iZbreaker pointed out that the collaboration will amplify the level of “serendipity“, focusing on the future of users.
“The main mission of iZbreaker is to ‘amplify serendipity. So much of social media is about focusing on other people’s past. iZbreaker is about paying attention to our own future and capturing the opportunities around us”.
iZbreaker together with ETC will focus on creating a safe and immutable environment where users can interact with each other without any limitations. In this sense, the public blockchain of Ethereum Classic will be the means to make the platform immutable and secure for the project.
iZbreaker is a project that has been approved and supported by the Ethereum Classic team from the outset, as Ethereum Classic Labs CEO Terry Culver said:
“We were excited about the iZbreaker project and team from the beginning and thought it was an ideal fit for Ethereum Classic’s security, low transaction fees, and stability. iZbreaker’s unique approach lets participants expand and capture their community of friends-of-friends online and share their information on a public chain while preserving data sovereignty, integrity and security”.
Recently also block.one of EOS announced its social media, Voice, which will enter the centre of development in autumn and could also include the capability to identify users.
