In the last 24 hours, the EOS blockchain has seen a disproportionate increase in transaction volumes.
As shown in the chart, transaction volumes in the last 24 hours have exceeded 80 million whereas, on average, they amount to around 57 million.
These figures cause other blockchains to pale. For example, TRON (TRX) has an average of just under 2 million transactions per day; Bitcoin (BTC) has an average of 825 thousand transactions and a maximum peak of over 1 million transactions; Ethereum (ETH) has an average of 717 thousand transactions and a peak of 1.3 million.
From these data, it is easy to see that something is happening on the EOS blockchain. But what? One of the possible explanations for this is the dApp HASH BABY, which in the last 24 hours has collected over 1 million transactions.
Hash Baby defines itself as a Decentralized Porn Community on EOS and IPFS.
Another plausible hypothesis – but one that can’t be verified at the moment – is that perhaps block.one is testing its social network Voice, since it will have 34 GB of RAM at its disposal.
The new social network is expected to arrive in the fall and many suspect that they want to wait for the new EOS update scheduled for September 23rd.
