Everipedia and Brave join together in a partnership

Yesterday the online encyclopedia based on EOS, Everipedia, officially announced that it has entered into a partnership with Brave, the popular browser that allows earning BAT tokens.

As is well known, through Brave’s program it is possible to become a certified publisher for the browser through which it is possible to receive BAT tokens for contents that are published on different platforms, such as websites, social accounts and videos. Only recently Brave has exceeded 300,000 publishers, to which Everipedia joined in August.

Moreover, thanks to this partnership, Everipedia will be able to take advantage of a privileged channel for content sponsorship, so that it will be able to reach all browser users, without them having their privacy compromised: the browser, in fact, never stores the user’s information.

From the press release it is possible to see that, in addition to the targeted advertising, there will be greater integration of the two communities through podcasts and articles. The partnership also foresees:

  • Ad placement for Everipedia in Brave Ads and BAT Community homepage;
  • Everipedia featured within the BAT Community, including relevant information in the Weekly BAT, BAT Community Podcast and an appearance by Everipedia staff in an upcoming BAT Community AMA;
  • Articles on Brave’s community, partners, and creators featured on Everipedia’s homepage and highlighted on Everipedia’s social media;
  • Brave and Everipedia working to integrate each other’s platforms into their communities.

This partnership underlines the importance that the user has with regard to rewards, emphasised the CEO of Brave, Brendan Eich:

“This partnership highlights the importance of innovative products that reward user attention and participation. Brave offers privacy and an integrated wallet that rewards users and supports content creators. By working with Everipedia, we are using the power of blockchain to put users in control of their experience.”

An example of how the blockchain can change the lives of users, explained Theodor Forselius, CEO and co-founder of Everipedia:

“Brave and Everipedia are both early examples of how blockchain technology is changing our lives. We provide an uncensorable knowledge layer for the world and Brave protects our information while browsing. This partnership is a natural extension of our vision to enable free, safe and accessible access to information using blockchain technology.”
