Coinbase has announced the integration of new coins for its Coinbase Card.
The service has now expanded to 10 other countries: Norway, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Hungary, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Sweden.
And in addition to these new countries, there will also be new cryptocurrencies to spend, bringing the total from 4 to 9.
The newly added coins are
- Ripple (XRP),
- Brave (BAT),
- Augur (REP),
- 0x (ZRX),
- Stellar (XLM)
All of them will be joining Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Litecoin (LTC).
The peculiarity of this card is the possibility to spend cryptocurrencies directly, without first having to convert them into fiat, which is a great convenience considering that it is necessary to use a wallet to do the operations and not all shops accept cryptocurrencies as a payment method.
Obviously, the app is required for the card, which is available for both iOS and Android, allowing the user to interact with their Coinbase account and then request the card that will be sent directly to their home.
The Coinbase Card represents an opportunity to simplify life for crypto users who want to use it to make payments conveniently both online and in physical and local stores. The system uses a tool known as a credit and debit card, which is less problematic for everyone, especially for those who approach the crypto world and find it difficult to use them.
In this sense Coinbase shows a lot of care, constantly trying to bring benefits to its community and to everyone. Such a case is the simple and practical service for merchants, Coinbase Commerce.
