At the 2019 Blockshow event in Singapore, a meeting point for blockchain traders, trader Tone Vays took the opportunity to express his opinion on the price of bitcoin (BTC).
In a recent interview, in fact, Tone talked about the BTC price and said he was sceptical about the trend in the value of the asset over the past year, since, according to him, there would have been a greater push of traders towards bitcoin and less towards altcoins, which led to the price of BTC to $14,000 before falling.Â
Tone Vays predicted a similar trend for the future halving that there will be next year: according to the trader the price of bitcoin could reach a minimum of $ 7,000 and then grow in December 2020.
Summary
The price of bitcoin with halving
In fact, if the price were to remain around these levels until halving, then there would only be a slight increase, and then return to normal levels during the course of the year and, only after this phase, then there would be an interesting increase in the price of bitcoin.
In addition, Tone Vays pointed out that he does not believe in what China is doing in recent months and that this is not a factor that can influence the price of bitcoin; on the contrary, according to Vays, it is America that drives and influences the price with all the services that are offered on the asset itself: the price of bitcoin, in fact, would be directly proportional to how many bitcoin-related products will be regulated.
Tone Vays talks about Libra
Also with regard to Libra, Vays does not see the project as feasible in the short term and in any case does not believe it is in any way a competitor of bitcoin since it can be confiscated. Furthermore, Vays states that he does not understand why governments are so frightened as they will be able to gain control of the system and have all the information about its users.Â
Finally, Vays explains that the price of bitcoin could reach impressive levels in a short time, reaching $20,000 to $50,000 or $100,000, but this can only be achieved in the second half of 2021 and in subsequent years, while he expects the price to remain around $10,000 for the whole of 2020.
Vays is certainly not known for his correct predictions since in previous years he has made many mistakes.
Meanwhile, John McAfee still claims that he expects bitcoin to reach a value of 1 million by the end of 2020.
