On Twitter today John McAfee said that he thinks Bitcoin is a shitcoin.
Whichever Bitcoin Maximalist came up with the term "Shitcoin" for all other coins;
Was brilliant.
But we all know that the future of Crypto rests with the Alt Coins.

However, this tweet raises a lot of doubts.
First of all, it is formatted abnormally. Sure, McAfee is not famous for being a language purist, but he’s not illiterate either. Lately, however, several tweets of the famous crypto influencer are abnormally formatted, although it must be remembered that he is in exile, constantly on the run from the US authorities.
Moreover, McAfee has actually always been extremely bullish on bitcoin, even recently, and this seems to clash deeply with what stated in the above tweet.
The fact that this tweet should be considered as a serious exaggeration is confirmed by a subsequent tweet in which he adds:
“Bitcoin is the Hotmail of Crypto”.
What is the reason for McAfee’s apparent change of attitude towards Bitcoin?
In the comments of the two tweets, several people have suggested pretty much explicitly that the influencer may not have been very lucid when he wrote them, but there may be more to it than that.
In fact, in the last few days, McAfee has increased the number of politically motivated tweets for his presidential campaign. Let’s not forget that, technically, he is still one of the candidates for this year’s presidential election for the Libertarian Party, even though his real chances of taking part in the election competition from his current state of exile are really very low.
Although there is no exhaustive explanation for this anomalous behaviour, it remains possible that McAfee has something in mind, or is working on some new project, that could aim to evolve the crypto sector beyond its current limits, and that he wants to propose it as an evolution of Bitcoin. It must also be said that, since 2009, many attempts to overcome Bitcoin have been proposed and so far they have all failed.
