Due to the current Coronavirus pandemic, many people in various parts of the world are at home unable to move, but this has not prevented them from organizing online tournaments of various sports. This is the case of NASCAR, which organized a virtual race in which a car branded with the Bitcoin logo also took part.
And it was iRacing who won, beating professional drivers, driving a car branded with the Bitcoin logo.
Here a picture of the car:
I fell in love with #NASCAR thru the original Papyrus NASCAR Racing game/sim.
It prepared me for my career – designing paint schemes, building websites, telling the story using technology, and growing relationships in the sport.
So this win means a lot to me.

The NASCAR competition, with over 50 thousand spectators online, saw the participation of several stars and drivers like Busch, Dale Earnhardt Jr and Denny Hamlin, so the interest in the race was very much present among spectators loyal to this sport, with the victory of a normal user driving a car with the Bitcoin logo definitely leaving its mark.
Crypto projects in sports: not only NASCAR
This is not the first time that a crypto project has appeared in this sector: for example, in Formula 1 there is also an NFT (Non-Fungible Token) blockchain project, while during the last Mini Challenge a car was sponsored by Eidoo leading a multitude of new fans and users to the Swiss company.
The spread of crypto and blockchain is a process that cannot be stopped and now not even the most popular sports such as football and basketball are escaping these new technologies, just think of the various tokens created for different Italian teams by Socios and the fantasy football blockchain project of Sorare.
We are therefore witnessing a real new hype related to blockchain and crypto, but especially Bitcoin, especially in view of the fact that next month there will be the third halving, which is also why Google Trends searches on the subject continue to soar.
