Over the weekend, the Socios blockchain project announced that it has launched its own debit card, available for all users wishing to spend the platform’s tokens.
It is worth recalling that this platform allows users to interact directly with their favourite football teams. In fact, many football clubs have joined the project: top names such as Juventus, Roma, Barcelona and many more.
Socios currently uses 2 tokens, namely Chiliz (CHZ), which is what is usually used to buy team tokens, and the recently launched United Fan Token (SSU), a governance token with functions to participate in quizzes or be rewarded by the platform.
The debit card, created in collaboration with the Railsbank bank, will not only be available to all registered users on the Socios website but will allow them to deposit fiat currencies such as euros or pounds and make purchases for goods and services of the platform.
In addition, the card will also have an IBAN already supported by 26 Eurozone countries.
To celebrate the event, a commemorative card has also been created along with a cashback system for all those who will use the CHZ token, as well as the possibility to receive a €100 daily airdrop.
The card is linked to the profile of the individual users thanks to their Socios ID. Obviously, it is necessary to pass the KYC (Know Your Customer) verification; these new cards will be issued by the end of this month.Â
This represents the last hurdle between users and fans when it comes to using the token, said the founder of Socios, Alexandre Dreyfus:
