As announced over the weekend, the CryptoLocalATM company has installed the first crypto ATM in the Italian region of Puglia, narrowing the gap between users and the use of crypto.
This type of installation is an absolute novelty in the region of Puglia. Yet these tools date back several years: in 2013 they were installed in several places in Italy in different shops.
Their operation is very simple and they allow all users to buy crypto, by going through a guided KYC (Know Your Customer) procedure, scanning the person’s documents and taking a photograph.
This is a crypto ATM allowing to buy several crypto assets using euros. Specifically, this ATM installed in Puglia supports:
- Bitcoin (BTC),
- Ethereum (ETH),
- Litecoin (LTC),Â
- Dogecoin (DOGE),Â
- Bitcoin Cash (BCH),Â
- Dash,Â
- Monero (XMR).Â
However, it is not possible to sell them.
Buy cryptocurrencies at the crypto ATM in Puglia
The minimum amount that can be purchased is €20 while the maximum amount is €1995 per day. There are no fixed fees but a percentage ranging from 6 to 8% on the transactions. This means that the fees are certainly high but on the other hand, it simplifies access to crypto.
This ATM has been installed in a financial consultancy office, Cariati Group and is located in the centre of Bari in Via Nizzi 81. Then it has been moved to BEAR BUSH, Via Cardassi, 77, 70121 Bari.
It is possible to use the code “BEARBUSH” to get discounts.
It is worth noting that despite the pandemic, the installations of these ATMs continued and one was opened in Genoa in April.
Surely these tools are very valuable, complementing the mono-crypto ones that support only Bitcoin or only Litecoin and whatnot.
In other countries, such as Malaysia for example, these crypto ATMs are illegal as the companies that install them must have a license to operate, similar to exchanges.
