How does Sorare work

Sorare has brought fantasy football to the Ethereum blockchain by building a mechanism where each player corresponds to a virtual card that is nothing more than an NFT.

Users, by collecting different cards, can create their own team and compete for prizes and other cards. Teams are made up of five players, namely a goalkeeper, a defender, a midfielder, a forward and another outside player. Based on the performance of these players in real matches, just like in fantasy football, the line-ups are ranked and prizes can be won.

Founded in 2018, Sorare has become the leader in football on blockchain. Based in Paris, Sorare is funded by companies such as Benchmark, Accel Partners, Headline and also famous footballers such as Gerard Piqué, Antoine Griezmann and Rio Ferdinand.
