As part of the exchange‘s 8th Anniversary Grand Draw celebrations, one lucky Huobi Global user will be given a seat on a real spaceship for a trip to space operated by an independent space travel company.
The monetary value of this prize is estimated at over half a million dollars, and is the first-ever similar initiative in the world for a crypto company.
Huobi was founded in 2013, or eight years ago, with the mission of enabling the development of blockchain technology and its integration with other industries. Over time, Huobi Group has expanded its business into digital asset trading, wallets, mining pools, investments, incubation, research and more.
The theme chosen for the eighth-anniversary celebrations is “Infinity”, and space travel is a perfect fit. The idea of awarding such a topical, and in some ways popular, prize reflects the company’s vision of making finance accessible and inclusive for all.
How to participate
In addition to the space trip, the company will also be offering several million dollars in other prizes through a series of online promotions.
The prize draw is open to all Huobi Global users from Tuesday, November 16 to Thursday, December 16, 2021, at 8:00 PM (UTC+8). To participate, besides registering on the exchange, you will need to pass the KYC verification processes, which require your name, address and email.
Each subscriber will be assigned a numbered virtual ticket and, once the campaign is over, one of these tickets will be raffled off as a prize for space travel. The winner will be informed by email and publicly announced on Huobi’s official Twitter account on December 30, 2021.
A trip to space with Huobi
The winner will then undergo a period of rigorous training and health checks before being launched into Earth’s outer atmosphere aboard a commercial spacecraft, where they will experience the sensation of zero gravity.
During this preparation period, Huobi will cover all related travel, visa and preparation costs, as well as a stipend to cover living expenses. Further details of the spaceflight will be revealed once the winner has been selected and informed.
