Lazio fans voted on the Binance Fan Token platform for the best goal of their striker, Ciro Immobile.
The vote took place on 20 November, precisely while Lazio was playing against Juventus at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome (a match that ended with the opponents winning 0-2).
Ciro Immobile’s best goal chosen on Binance
Ciro Immobile became Lazio’s top scorer with goal number 160 against Marseille on 4 November. The striker surpassed the previous record of Silvio Piola, another Italian football legend.
To celebrate this milestone, fans experienced the power of Binance and a new relationship with the team by voting for Immobile’s best goal. The striker himself chose six of his best goals, listed on the platform.
The title of best goal with 237 votes went to the goal scored against Napoli, in which Immobile dribbled past two opponents, shooting and beating the goalkeeper.
Ciro Immobile was awarded directly on the pitch by Lorenzo Capone, marketing manager of Binance Italia.

Lazio fans on Binance
In total, more than 800 people voted. To vote it was necessary to be registered on Binance and to hold the Lazio Fan Token. This isn’t the only activity that Lazio fans can carry out on the platform. Some time ago 15,000 mystery boxes were distributed in 8 hours.
Other voting sessions involved fans choosing the design of the team shirt and the song to play at the stadium during warm-up.
It is worth mentioning that Binance has become the official main sponsor of Lazio, but this is not the only involvement of fan tokens in the world of Italian football. For example, Juventus with Chiliz had provided a fan token with which fans could be involved in the team’s life on a regular basis.
A new way of experiencing sport
Binance is thus reshaping the way people experience sport. Lorenzo Capone said in this regard:
“Blockchain is reshaping the way many different sectors do business. And Binance Fan Token is the proof of that, reshaping the way any type of business, not only soccer-related, interacts with its own community. Every single actor of the equation wins: on the one hand, users are dramatically more engaged and closer to their legends, on the other hand, the companies find alternative revenues streams and cut the distances with fans. Personally speaking, having had the opportunity to give the prize to an Italian legend, it was a dream come true. Binance is looking forward to working with Lazio on similar campaigns and activities in the future that will challenge existing ways of activating users and extend the potential of what teams can do to connect with fans in between key events and in the run-up to upcoming matches”.
For fans, the era of simply watching matches is over. It’s the beginning of a phase where they themselves are protagonists in the life of the team.
