Binance launches the new fragrance CRYPTO for the female audience

On the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8th, Binance has launched the new perfume “CRYPTO” to attract the female audience to the sector. 

Binance and the new CRYPTO perfume for the female audience in honor of International Women’s Day

In honor of International Women’s Day on March 8th, the popular crypto-exchange Binance has launched the new fragrance “CRYPTO”. A marketing move aimed at attracting the female audience to the sector.

“There are not enough women in cryptography yet. We have launched our new fragrance “CRYPTO” as a new way to open conversations with the public about what needs to be done to close the gender gap.”

In this regard, Rachel Conlan, Chief Marketing Officer of Binance, commented:

“Bold, distinctive, and deliberately disruptive, CRYPTO is not a perfume we are marketing but a message to women who have a significant role to play in the crypto revolution. We are here to tell women around the world not to be spectators, to break through glass ceilings, challenge narratives, and become part of this digital transformation destined to redefine global finance.”

Regarding the initiative, Binance has planned to reward the first 5,000 women who complete a crypto course on Binance Academy with a $25 USDT voucher.

Binance: the “CRYPTO” fragrance for women was part of a luxury advertising series

Before this “pink” marketing move, dedicated to the female audience, the “CRYPTO” perfume of the world’s number one exchange was part of a series of luxury advertisements for the company’s inclusivity campaign: “Crypto is Yours”.

As described in the image, the fragrance of Binance has been defined as a “luxurious fusion of exotic ingredients including hold, dyor, yolo and lfg”.

Binance’s strategy draws inspiration from beauty advertising conventions, while challenging the “norm” of the crypto space at the same time.

The Blockchain4Her initiative by Bitget worth 10 million dollars

At the middle of January 2024, the crypto-exchange Bitget had also dedicated an entire initiative to women, called Blockchain4Her.

Bitget has declared to have committed 10 million dollars for the new project, with the aim of empowering women by promoting inclusivity in the sector. 

The three key points of the Blockchain4Her initiative are:

  • Incubation programs for female entrepreneurs and presentation contests;
  • Women in Blockchain Summit & Awards;
  • Ambassador program.
