Spinnin’ Records is using BAT ads

The well-known music producer Spinnin’ Records is advertising on Brave using BAT ads.

Spinnin’ Records is an independent Dutch record label founded in 1999 by Eelko van Kooten and Roger de Graaf and sold to Warner Music Group in September 2017.

Spinnin’ Records focuses mainly on dance and electronic music and features DJ artists such as Bob Sinclar, Martin Solveig, Tiësto and many others.

The YouTube channel has over 26 million subscribers and almost 16 billion views, thanks largely to videos such as Animals, by Martin Garrix, which alone exceeds 1.3 billion views. In total, this channel has 22 videos with at least 100 million views.

It recently started using Brave to promote its latest videos, in particular Not So Bad by Yves V & Ilkay Sencan, feat. Emie.

The Brave browser allows its users to enable incentives in BAT for viewing ads posted by advertisers.

These advertisers now include the well-known Spinnin’ Records and they appear to be growing significantly.

After all, there are already more than 420,000 publishers using Brave Rewards, most of which are YouTube channels.

Among these, the largest is Spinnin’ Records, which is therefore not only an advertiser but also publisher of the platform.

Other YouTube publisher channels of Brave, with over 2 billion views, are Trap Nation, Genevieve’s Playhouse – Toy Learning for Kids, Bart Baker, Philip DeFranco, HowToBasic, VICE and Rfm VS Games.

In terms of websites, the main ones include wikipedia.org, The Guardian, DuckDuckGo, Archive.org, Washington Post and Vimeo.

In September 2019, Brave’s app entered the top 10 of the most downloaded Android apps in Japan, demonstrating the huge growth it is experiencing among smartphone users.

Furthermore, Brave’s advertising model, based on the ERC20 BAT token, is in fact unique among those of the main existing browsers, because it cuts the intermediaries by potentially putting advertisers in direct communication with users, allowing the advertising expenses of the former to become a de facto revenue for the latter.

The fact that even large companies like Spinnin’ Records are starting to take full advantage of this new model seems to suggest that the use of Brave may grow even more over time.
