The first meetup of the community Iota Italy was held yesterday in Milan (sold out). The meetup brought together more than 1,800 fans of the IOTA technology and cryptocurrency.
After an introduction by the organizers and members of the IOTA Evangelist Network Stefano Della Valle, Alessandro Olivo and Antonio Nardella, there have been interesting examples of projects carried out by companies and research centres based on distributed ledger technology.
Edoardo Calia of the Istituto Superiore Mario Boella presented the research work carried out by researchers in the field of IoT and anti-counterfeiting, obviously based on IOTA.
Fabrizio Cardinali of MYWAI presented a virtual assistant equipped with artificial intelligence designed to assist professionals and doctors.
There was also an important world preview by Eric Hop, Senior Product Owner of the IOTA Foundation, who illustrated the functional logic of Qubic, a system that will allow using distributed ledgers not only to manage financial transactions but also to store and enhance the result of a calculation distributed on public machines.
Finally, there were in-depth studies on the real use of IOTA in the IoT sector with the demonstration of transactions produced by a micro-device.
