In a new tweet today, the famous founder of Megaupload, Kim Dotcom, said he named his dog BCH, to honour his support for Bitcoin Cash.

“Who you lookin at BCH?”.
Kim Dotcom supports Bitcoin Cash
It is nothing new that Kim Dotcom has jumped into the crypto world, backing BCH head-on against Bitcoin (BTC) maximalists.
In fact, as early as the beginning of 2020, he had already shared his view on the subject, stating that in his opinion Roger Ver, CEO of Bitcoin.com, would be one step ahead of the rest.
Moreover, at the beginning of 2021, Kim Dotcom had tangibly taken action in the field by integrating BCH’s blockchain on KIM.
The KIM platform, which aims to monetize digital content, had thus added the Bitcoin Cash blockchain, after also integrating Bitcoin and Lightning Network and Liquid Network.
Kim Dotcom, Bitcoin Cash and the dogmania
The association between crypto and dogs on Twitter, the social network of crypto-lovers, is nothing new these days.
Indeed, with Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB), dogs have become the protagonists of memes upon memes, increasingly popular in the cryptosphere.
It is a bit like what happens on the official account of Tesla’s famous CEO, Elon Musk, who to share his “love” for DOGE, often shares tweets depicting funny memes of the dog.
In this sense, Kim Dotcom too might want to follow in Musk’s footsteps and has chosen his real dog as the protagonist to support his beloved crypto BCH.
Whether this is a tried and tested strategy or a pure devotion to bitcoin cash, Kim Dotcom continues to affirm his interest in the crypto that forked from Bitcoin.
Predictions and actual price performance of BCH in 2021
Towards the end of 2020, Kim Dotcom had also shared his price predictions for BCH, stating that by the end of 2021 it would be $3000.
Something that has yet to come true. At the time of writing, BCH is worth $608 and ranks 16th in market capitalization. Its total market cap is over $11 billion, while its percentage dominance of the entire crypto market is 0.57%.
Even during the bull market of this 2021, when in April Bitcoin touched its ATH – All Time High exceeding $60,000, BCH reached a price high of $1500.
Still a long way from the $3000 predicted by Kim Dotcom, though with 3 more months of this year still remaining, anything is possible.
