PNC Bank: the first American bank to use Ripple

As reported by an American media, PNC Bank will be the first bank to use the Ripple system for cross-border payments.

RippleNet is a global network which enables financial institutions to process cross-border payments with a reliable and economically efficient system.

Thanks to this tool, PNC Bank will be the first to use Ripple on American soil and the first to provide real-time payments between different countries.

This collaboration with PNC Bank is part of Ripple’s plans to expand its global network system RippleNet in several countries, particularly in emerging countries.

At present, RippleNet has more than 200 customers worldwide, spread over a very wide area from the Middle East to the Americas.

A few days ago, another bank, DSB, stated that the use of Ripple products for cross-border transfers is the most economical solution par excellence. As far as the technical aspect is concerned, yesterday there was a reset of the Ripple testnet.
