The exchange Bitget appoints Gracy Chen as the new CEO, focusing on growth and innovation

Bitget, one of the main cryptocurrency exchanges, has announced the appointment of Gracy Chen as the new CEO, with immediate effect. Gracy will succeed Sandra Lou, who will leave Bitget to pursue new entrepreneurial goals.

With over 10 years of experience in business management, marketing, and investments, Gracy is a prominent figure in the cryptocurrency industry.

The journey of Gracy Chen in the world of cryptocurrencies: the new CEO of the exchange Bitget

Gracy Chen’s journey into the world of cryptocurrencies began in 2014, when, as a television host, she started interviewing industry experts, one of them being: Tim Draper.

These encounters fueled her interest in the sector, leading her to invest in crypto startups like Bitkeep, now known as Bitget Wallet, the largest multi-chain Web 3 wallet in Asia.

In June 2022, Gracy joined the team of Bitget as Managing Director, leading strategies aimed at global growth of the platform.

In this role, he has demonstrated an extraordinary ability to manage multinational teams, contributing to quadrupling Bitget’s user base.

We emphasize that this success has also been achieved thanks to strategic partnerships, such as the one with the footballer Leo Messi, and the creation of a strong network of global affiliates.

Initiatives aimed at inclusivity

Gracy is also committed and known for all her initiatives aimed at promoting diversity and inclusivity in the crypto sector.

The new CEO of Bitget has indeed launched, in the past, several campaigns such as:

  • #Blockchain4Youth in May 2023, with the aim of bringing young people closer to blockchain and cryptocurrencies, collaborating with over 50 educational institutions and involving more than 6,000 young talents;
  • #Blockchain4Her, through which Gracy aims to ensure equal opportunities and representation for women in the blockchain sector.

In addition to her commitments at Bitget, Gracy Chen is a columnist for Forbes and Cointelegraph, and a judge on the reality show “Killer Whales”, aimed at discovering promising Web3 projects.

His contributions have therefore earned him international recognition, including the title of Global Shaper from the World Economic Forum in 2015 and election to the Forbes Business Council in 2023.
