Moto GP arrives on the Flow blockchain

Dapper Labs’ Flow has partnered with Animoca Brands to bring Moto GP and Star Girl to its blockchain

It should be noted that this blockchain is designed specifically for decentralized applications (dApps).

Flow allows greater speed and scalability than the Ethereum blockchain, since it uses a sharding system and a different consensus system called SPoCKs (Specialized Proofs of Confidential Knowledge).

SPoCKs allows several “provers” to demonstrate that a third party has access to information, without exposing the information itself.

Precisely because of its speed, Flow was chosen by the Animoca Brands team to introduce two of its flagship products, Star Girl and Moto GP, on the blockchain.

Star Girl is a series of fashion-themed games for women; it boasts 1 million accounts and around 180,000 daily users. Star Girl will arrive on Flow’s blockchain around the beginning of 2021.

The same is true for the official Moto GP racing game

The recent REVV, a utility token for games developed by Animoca Brands, will also be integrated with it. This will be released next year as well.

This partnership expands the mass adoption of the blockchain, commented Animoca Brands co-founder Yat Siu

“We are excited and honoured to collaborate with Dapper Labs and the Flow blockchain to address the challenge of mass adoption for blockchain gaming and NFTs, and we look forward to bringing the REVV community and the Flow community closer together as we continue to develop our partnership”.

The world of NFTs (Non Fungible Tokens) will have some new entries on this blockchain, continued Dapper Labs CBO, Mik Naayem:

“Animoca Brands has been an incredible supporter of NFTs and decentralized games since 2017. We share a mutual vision and approach to creating mainstream adoption of decentralized games in an inclusive manner. With this partnership we are one step closer to making this a reality. We are excited to welcome and support the vibrant REVV and Star Girl communities to Flow”.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that Animoca Brands announced last month an important partnership with Atari to provide its support for the launch of the new console that will change the way games are played thanks to the blockchain.
